The Jharkhand Government MSME Tool Room (JGMSMETR), Ranchi is a strategic endeavor towards fulfillment of the goals set by the Government of Jharkhand in its industrial policy. The Tool room have been setup by the Government of Jharkhand with Central Assistance from Ministry of MSME, Government of India and is registered under Society Registration Act, 1860. The centre has separate training and production wings equipped with comprehensive range of machine tools having the latest controls, procured from the global market, including CAD/CAM and sophisticated CNC machines, ultra modern class rooms with latest teaching aids, hostel facilities separately for boys and girls, recreational facilities, playgrounds etc.

Our Activities
  • Industry based long-term training for Tool & Die makers.
  • Short term training for Managers/Supervisors to upgrade their knowledge & skills.
  • Medium Term Course for Need based technical training for Skilled workers / Tool makers / Machinist etc.
  • Training for inspection, quality control and maintenance.
  • Training in CNC technology & CAD / CAM / CAE , Reverse Engineering.
  • Having full-fledged production department engaged in design and manufacturing of Jigs, Fixture, Mould, Gauges, Die Casting Dies and precision machining

It is being governed by a governing council having Secretary Industries, Mines and Geology as its Chairman and Director of Industries as Vice Chairman and also having members, MD RIADA, Director-Tool Room DC (MSME) GOI, Vice Chancellor BIT Mesra Ranchi, Director NIFFT Hatia Ranchi, CMD HEC, CMD CMPDI, CMD CCL, Plant Head-TATA Motors Jamshespur, Director Usha Martin Ltd. Ranchi, DGM SIDBI Ranchi. The academic activities of the centre is being governed by an Academic Council in which representatives from BIT Mesra Ranchi, NIFFT Ranchi, Usha Martin, JINDAL Steel and Power Ltd. Patratu, Raj Ceramic, etc. are the members.

Location

The Tool Room is located nearly 12 kilometers from Ranchi Railway station on Ranchi-Muri Road, opposite Usha Martin Ltd and just behind the Tatisilwai railway station.
